PTSD can be the result of a one off event or following a series of events and/or exposure to trauma.
Post-traumatic stress disorder
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is caused by stressful, distressing and frightening events/situations. People who live with and experience PTSD may find it difficult to manage emotions, often reliving the event over and over again.
PTSD often includes flashbacks, feelings of isolation, feelings of being trapped in a particular life event, guilt, shame and difficulty relaxing. Sleeping patterns can be interrupted meaning concentration is challenging. PTSD potentially has a huge impact on the persons life.
The programmes and packages on this page aim to help someone who is suffering from PTSD by giving them a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings. During sessions we will discuss coping skills and plans for the future.
"I would highly recommend Brooke; I have recently completed her 4-week coaching programme and it was a great experience.
Even though it was conducted via a Zoom call, she created a relaxed and safe environment that allowed me to really open up. She listened and prompted as appropriate to make the most of each session and provided me with a personalised action plan, to allow me to focus on what we’d discussed in between calls"
